I have never made a New Year's resolution before, but I suppose 2013 is as good as any to start. I am going to start accomplishing small goals. If I were to list all of the things about myself I want to change or all of the things I want to do, the task would simply be too daunting. I would give up before starting. I think that's the problem with a lot of resolutions. We think in terms of big change but we want to do small work. When we achieve little accomplishments, we fail to notice the success and instead focus on how far we still have to go. So I'm starting small. I am going to make little goals every day, so by the end of the year I will have accomplished at least 365 things! And that's something to celebrate :) So this blog will be a place for me to share each day's goal/accomplishment, a small way to hold myself accountable. If you have ideas or suggestions, please leave a comment or get in touch however you prefer!
Day 1:
goal: organize all of the audiobook files on my iPod
reason: I have been wanting to fix the filenames and format and such of the many audiobooks I have on my iPod for at least a year, if not more. But every time I thought about doing it, I just decided there were other things I would rather do. But the longer it had been, the more it drove me crazy! So tonight, I sat down and fixed EVERY one. It's something I don't have to think about anymore. Is it life changing? no. Is it even important? not really. But it's a start :)
accomplished: YES!
